7th-ranked Lady Tigers cruise past Murray, face Calhoun Tuesday

The Adairsville Lady Tigers soccer team took care of business Thursday night at home, defeating Murray County 9-0.

Emily Collum scored the first two goals of her ‘hat trick’ performance in the game in the first ten minutes of the game.

Kaitlyn Webster put Adairsville ahead 3-0 off an assist from Haley Pittman in the 12th minute.

Pittman added a goal in the 25th minute and Chloe Cochran fed Katie Lawhorn in the 34th minute for a 5-0 Lady Tigers’ lead at halftime.

In the second half, Aimee Pacheco scored off an assist from Lauren Stephenson in the 44th minute and Pittman found the net in the 56th minute.

In the 67th minute, Collum completed her three goal night and Havyn Isaac added the Lady Tigers’ final tally in the 76th minute.

Isaac and Hensley Laney both played in goal for Adairsville to record the shutout.

The 7th-ranked Lady Tigers (AJC poll), now 9-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 6-AAA, play at Calhoun Tuesday, March 22.
