Kimsey takes Jiu-Jitsu gold at IBJJF Atlanta Spring Open

Michael Kimsey won a pair of gold medals this past Saturday at the 2017 International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Atlanta Spring Open held at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.

The event was a qualifier for the 2017 National Championships and the 2017 World Championships.

Kimsey won gold in the Blue/Master 2/Super-Heavyweight division and the Blue/Master 2/Open class.

A special education teacher and assistant wrestling coach at Adairsville High School, Kimsey is now ranked 173rd in the world.

He will compete in the National Championships in Las Vegas July 6-8 and the World Championships at the Las Vegas Convention Center August 24-26.
