Moss, Vidoli, Lady Canes relay teams secure state berths at Northwest Georgia Swim and Dive Champion

Adairsville placed eighth, Cartersville ninth, and Woodland 14th Saturday at the 18-team Northwest Georgia Swim and Dive Championship at the Calhoun Aquatic Center.

Calhoun won the meet, followed by Rome, Blessed Trinity, Jefferson, and Creekview.

A pair of local individual swimmers finished with state qualifying times as did the girls 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams from Cartersville.

Adairsville junior Rylee Moss won the girls 200-yard individual medley with a finals time of 2:13.27. She also captured the 100-yard butterfly in 58.71.

Cartersville freshman Giulia Vidoli finished runner-up in the girls 100-yard freestyle with a state qualifying time of 56.37.
 

 

 
The Lady Canes’ 200-yard freestyle relay team (Rachel Long, Gracie Siniard, Aleina Vidoli, and Giulia Vidoli) also finished with a state qualifying time of 1:51.16 and placed fourth at the meet while the Cartersville girls 400-yard freestyle relay team (Grayson Breedlove, Long, Siniard, and Giulia Vidoli) finished seventh with a state qualifying time of 4:11.36.
