The Blessed Trinity girls soccer team stayed on the attack for most of the game Friday night at Woodland and took more than 30 shots on goal to earn a 10-0 Region 7-AAAAA win.
“Blessed Trinity has a very strong team,” said Woodland girls coach Nicole Heiser. “They kept us on defense the majority of the game. Our goalkeeper, Chloe Ravish, had over 20 saves. I was happy with the way the girls kept fighting, however, until the last whistle.”
The Lady Titans improved to 8-1-1 on the season and 1-0 in region play.
Woodland (2-5-1, 0-1) travels to Cosa Tuesday for a non-region match at 5:30 p.m. and will host Hiram in region play Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The Cass girls stayed close in the first half, trailing 3-2 at halftime but Calhoun added another trio of goals in the second half to defeat the Lady Colonels Friday night at Cochran Stadium, 6-2.
The Lady Jackets improved to 5-4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play with their win.
Cass (3-6, 0-1) hosts Armuchee in non-region action Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and travels to Cartersville for a region game Friday at 5:30 p.m.
