The Canes’ goals were scored by Victor Guevara and Sean Holton.
Holton's goal came in the first half off an assist from Pedro Ghanem and the 1-0 lead held until the game's 70th minute when the Phoenix scored an equalizer.
Cartersville responded, however, with Guevara's goal off a rebound header three minutes later to keep the win streak alive.
With the loss, Sonoraville fell to 10-7-1.
Cartersville improved to 14-1-2 on the season and will open the Class AAAA state playoffs next Wednesday at home against White County (6-7-3).
