The Cass girls basketball team improved to 2-0 Saturday afternoon with a 69-35 win over visiting Clarkston.
The Lady Colonels led 21-2 after one quarter and never looked back.
Cass held a 43-7 advantage at the intermission and 63-19 after three quarters.
A dozen different Cass players made their mark in the scoring column led by freshman Claire Davis (photo) with 14 and Londaisha Smith with 13 points. Ariana Hames scored nine. Sharia Wade and Brianna Stephenson had seven points each. Sylvia Wade and Payton Stoddard posted four points apiece. Taryn Callahan contributed three points, while Amber Brittian, Alexis Ware, Abby Stoddard, and Brooklyn Whittington added two points each.
Zia’Diamond Myles and Jayda Walker ledthe Angorras with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Cass hosts Fannin County Tuesday in another non-region game with a 6 p.m. start.
