The Adairsville boys basketball team salvaged a win in their finale' at the Rockmart High School Georgia Nylon and Thread Shootout Saturday afternoon by defeating Bremen, 53-44. Both teams had dropped their first two tournament games with the Tigers falling to Rockmart and Thomson the previous two nights before topping the Blue Devils. Bremen held a first quarter lead of 8-7, but Adairsville took command by halftime 26-16 and extended their lead to 37-24 through three quarters.
Mason Boswell led Adairsville in the scoring ranks with 20 points. Denarous Johnson followed with 14 points for the Tigers. Savaun Henderson totaled eight. T.J. Printup contributed six. Connor Crunkelton and Diego Perez rounded out the Tigers’ scoring with three and two points, respectively.
Griffin Crook led Bremen (3-6) with 14 points.
Adairsville (5-8) will host the Adairsville Ace Hardware Christmas Clash December 27-29 with the Tigers opening the first round against Excel Christian Academy.
