Lady Colonels survive with base on balls walk-off

August 21, 2015

Cass softball survived a seventh inning scare and pulled out a 6-5 sub-region win over Sequoyah Thursday night at home.

The Lady Colonels took a 5-0 lead into the seventh inning, but the Lady Chiefs tied the game on a pair of extra base hits, a pair of errors, a pair of walks, and a pair of wild pitches.

Cass (2-6, 2-2 in 7-AAAAA) then responded with the game winner when Taylor Queen opened the inning with a one-out walk and later scored on a walk off base on balls to Sarah Fox.
