Adairsville wins region one act play title

The Adairsville High School One Act Play cast and crew hosted and won the Region 6-AAA championship this past week. The play, “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” is directed by Rachel Queen. The assistant director is Kathleen Landolt.

Adairsville’s Ashley Peterson was named Best Actress at the eight school competition. Shannon Adams and Rylan Abernathy were named All Star Cast Members.

Members of the cast: Rylan Abernathy, Shannon Adams, Kassidy Brown, Mayra Cisneros, Austin Clay, Kevin Owens, Ashley Peterson, Celtia Stewart, and Hannah Turner.

Fatima “Inez” Beltran, Seth Brookshire, Gracie Camp, Bryana Candelaria, Carson Creel, Anna Fernandez, Romeo Gomes, Kate Huling, Hannah Klajbor, Felicity Little, James Pearson, Lauren Peck, Ansley Samples, and Allison Storm.

The Georgia High School Association Class AAA One Act Play State Championship competition will be Saturday, November 5 at Warner Robins High School.
