Woodland swim team starts season

The Woodland swim team traveled to Cherokee County to compete against River Ridge, Marietta, and the Weber School. Senior Kera Lawhon scored 42 points in the meet for Woodland to lead the team. Woodland's 200 freestyle "B" relay team also impressed with a sub-varsity performance. The eighth grade team placed fourth in their race although they could not score team points in the varsity meet. The boys team was led by junior Jordan Baldwin who totaled 33 points. Gage O'Bannon also had a nice meet. He cut 2.15 seconds off his personal best 50 freestyle time.

Woodland travels to Dalton for the Cats' next meet on November 10.
