Results from the opening event of the 2019-20 AHSBA season




Results from Saturday’s season opening event on Lake Allatoona with the Amateur High School Bass Anglers. The senior angler (high school) competition out of Gatewood Park included thirty-two boats that caught 50 fish with a total weight of 122.54 pounds. The junior angler (middle school) competition included thirteen boats that caught 14 fish with a total weight of 19.38 pounds.


Top 5 Senior finishers:

1. Jacob Bunce (Cartersville High) and Blake Hilburn (Adairsville High) with 5.28 pounds

2. Owen Moss and Jack Moss (both of Pickens High) - also had big fish (3.03 lbs)

3. Adam Martin and Logan Hunt (both of Adairsville High)

4. Elijah Walker and Jacob Britton (both of Cartersville High)

5. Dalton Cornett (Adairsville High) and honorary angler Jacob Cline (Cass High)



Top 5 Junior finishers:

1. Luke Sims and Jacob Layson (5.60 lbs) (both of Calhoun Middle)

2. Dalton Mealer and Connor Whitlock (both of Adairsville Middle)

3. Ace Allen and Hayden Vann - also had big fish (1.97 lbs) (both of Cedartown Middle)

4. Brody Spann and Carson Matthews (both Rockmart Middle)
