Youth football updates from the Cartersville Parks and Recreation Department and the Bartow County Parks and Recreation Department

 

Tuesday, October 22


10U at Dellinger Park


CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Cagle) 50, WOODLAND WILDCATS 0 Jovani Bautista-Jackson had touchdown runs of 26 and 22 yards plus a 54-yard opening kickoff return for a touchdown. He also had one PAT run. Cole Henson scored on a 12 yard run. Dixon Lindsey connected on a 10-yard touchdown pass with Payton Paul. Jayden Newman contributed an eight-yard touchdown run. Clint Hosea had an 18-yard scoring run and was successful on three PAT kicks. Elijah Mulkey added a PAT run. Corbin Mullinax had a fumble recovery for the Hurricanes (Cagle) defense. Brantley Parker was recognized as the top defender for Woodland.



Thursday, October 24


8U at Dellinger Park


CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Stepp) 18, CASS COLONELS GOLD 0

Cameron Caldwell scored on touchdown runs of 18 and 24 yards. Hudson Lovette also scored on a 12-yard run. Cade McFarland and William Groce were the top defenders for Hurricanes (Stepp).

CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Nunn) 29, CASS COLONELS GOLD 0

Jaylon Watkins caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Kaleb Holton and scored on a 20-yard run. Tyon Coe scored on a 24-yard run. Brody Jones added a touchdown with an interception return. Tyon and Timothy Coe combined on a tackle for a safety. Cannon Phillips, Sam Adams, and Henry Abernathy contributed PAT runs.



Saturday, October 26


12U at Cunningham Stadium (Grassdale Rd., Old Cass HS)


CASS COLONELS 14, CALHOUN COLTS 0

Jacob Jones had a 95-yard punt return for a touchdown and added a 35-yard touchdown run for Cass. Paul Lanier contributed a two-point PAT kick. Adrian Dunn had six tackles. Kadyn Johnson and Tashim Davis finished with five and four tackles, respectively for the Colonels.



Monday, October 28


8U at Hamilton Crossing Park


CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES 20, ADAIRSVILLE TIGERS 14

Nehimiah Glover rushed for 112 yards and had touchdown runs from 58 and 3 yards for the Tigers. Aiden White and Isaac Elrod had four tackles each. Peyton Burchett finished with three tackles and a fumble recovery for Adairsville. No information was provided for Cartersville.



10U at Dellinger Park


CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (Nunn) 35, ADAIRSVILLE TIGERS 7

Tyon Coe scored three touchdowns and added one PAT run for Cartersville. Jaylon Watkins scored on a 22-yard touchdown run and had three PAT runs. Sam Bailey, who was also selected as the top defender for Cartersville, added a 12-yard touchdown run. Kaleb Horton added a PAT run for Hurricanes (Nunn). Kameron Hosey scored the Tigers’ touchdown on a 20 yard run. Jackson Jarrett added the PAT run.


CARTERSVILLE HURRICANES (King) 45, CASS COLONELS SILVER 13

Zachary Stiles scored on touchdown runs of 16, 12, and 10 yards and converted a pair of PAT runs for Cartersville. Dustin McConnell added a pair of touchdown runs and a PAT run. Cooper Reynolds also completed a 14 yard touchdown pass to John Brady Nichols in the Hurricanes (King) win. Colt Craig was the top defender for Cartersville. Cass Silver scored on a Connor Hartsook 12 yard pass to Devin Ware and a Devin Ware 10-yard touchdown run. Ware also added a PAT run.



12U at Cunningham Stadium (Grassdale Rd., Old Cass HS)


PEPPERELL DRAGONS 14, WOODLAND WILDCATS 6

Malachi Harris finished with 40 rushing yards and had a two-yard touchdown run for Woodland. Gavin Johnson, John Gill, and Ayden Carson led the Wildcats’ defense with three tackles each. Zachary Hawkins had a pair of tackles and a fumble recovery.



Tuesday, October 29


8U at Hamilton Crossing Park


CASS COLONELS GOLD 14, CASS COLONELS BLUE 8

Rob Castle had two scoring runs from 40 and 15 yards for Cass Gold. He also had a two-point PAT run. Jaylen Thompson scored the Cass Blue touchdown on a 40-yard run and scored the two-point conversion.
