Lutjens, Harris win GRPA state golf tournaments

Two local youth golfers won state titles Tuesday (July 14) at the GRPA state golf tournament.

Carson Harris fired a 43 to win first place in the 11 and 12 year old boys nine hole division. Andrew Lutjens won the 7 and 8 year old boys nine hole division with a 51 and Buck Brumlow shot an 18-hole 86 to place second in the 13 year old boys division.

The Georgia Recreation and Parks Association youth state golf tournament was held at Nob North Golf Club in Cohutta and hosted by the Dalton Parks and Recreation Department.
