Wood, Castillo to compete for Cheerleader of the Year

Two Cartersville High School cheerleaders will compete August 8 in the Georgia Cheerleader Coaches Association Cheerleader of the Year event.

Cameryn Wood and Sydney Castillo have already been selected as a Top 40 Cheerleader of the Year candidate. Nearly 200 nominees competed this fall to be named to the Georgia All State Squad. Applicants are judged on scholarship application, interview, and performance. Coaches must be members of the GCCA and GACA in order to be eligible to nominate their seniors.
