Lady Colonels softball ready to challenge in 2015

The Cass Lady Colonels softball team returns six players with varsity experience as they open the 2015 season Monday (Aug. 10) at Cedartown, but will be looking to replace five starters lost to graduation. Cass coach Greg Hight will rely on shortstop Sierrah Gani and pitcher Hannah Lee for leadership early in the season as the Lady Colonels look forward to the return of outfielder Hope Elrod some time in September. Coach Hight identified Creekview and Dalton as the two front runners heading into 2015 sub-region play. Sequoyah, Woodland, Rome, and River Ridge will also be on the Lady Colonels' sub-region slate.
