Lady Tigers finish 3-3 at Model Invitational

Following a Friday night split with Rockmart and Trion, the Adairsville Lady Tigers softball team went 2-2 on Saturday at the annual Model Invitational Tournament in Rome to finish 3-3 in the season opening event.

Adairsville defeated Coosa 9-0 and Rome 18-1 on Saturday, but suffered a 6-2 loss to Bleckley County and a 10-8 loss to Southeast Whitfield in their tournament finale.

On Friday night, the Lady Tigers lost to Trion 8-0, but defeated Rockmart 5-3.

Adairsville travels to Calhoun Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 11, 5:30pm) to open region play.
