Cole's strong finish leads Cartersville girls to 8th at Carrollton Orthopedic Invitational
Cartersville's Bree Cole finished second overall in the Class AAAA-AAAAA division of the Carrollton Orthopedic Invitational Saturday on the state meet course in Carrollton. Cole's time of 21:21.45 came in just behind Bonnie McKinnon of Forsyth Central.
Haden Boone had the Cartersville boys' best time. He placed 28th overall in 18:43.16.
The Clarkston boys won the event with Cambridge coming in second in the Class AAAA-AAAAA event.
Cartersville boys placed 13th in the 21 team event.
