BCRD youth football: 8U Bears and Falcons, 12U Tigers and Bucs shutout opponents Monday night

Monday night football results from Bartow County Recreation Department youth football Bartow Sports Zone is pleased to report youth football results as supplied by both the Bartow County and City of Cartersville recreation departments.

8U Football results — Monday, September 14

Bears 36 Jets 0 Isaiah Livsey scored on touchdown runs of 46 and 42 yards to get the Bears’ offense started at 13-0 with a Livsey extra point run. Zachary Wallace added a 25-yard touchdown run and Cameron Cochran connected with Logan Shrewsbury for a 2-point conversion to give the Bears a 21-0 advantage. Talen Nix scored on a 60-yard run and the Bears added another 2-point conversion on a completed pass from Talen Nix to Cochran. Livsey added his third score of the game on a 33-yard run and Wallace added the extra point run. Kolt McCord led the Jets offense with 43 yards rushing.

Falcons 19 Colts 0

Jakai Baldwin scored on runs of 50 and 33 yards and Kelson Mitchell added a a 45-yard jaunt and a conversion run for the Falcons’ scoring. Reed Ezell finished the night with 64 yards rushing to lead the Colts. Righley Worthington and Ezell led the Colts defensively with 5 tackles each.

12U Football results — Monday, September 14

Tigers 28 Falcons 0 Patrick Shelley found Noah Standridge in the back of the end zone in the first quarter and Jacob Ray scored on a 3-yard run late in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 12-0 lead at the half. Jordan Carson added a 4-yard touchdown run and Kadron Trimble kicked the PAT to extend the Tigers’ lead to 20-0 in the third quarter. In the final period, the Tigers added a Shelley to Standridge 18-yard scoring pass and Trimble again kicked the extra points for a 28-0 final. Ian Lowe led the Falcons’ defense with seven tackles. Isaac Linley rushed for 64 yards to lead the Falcons’ offense.

Bucs 34 Bears 0

Quarterback Andrew Nguyen led the Bucs’ offense with touchdown runs of 50 and 3 yards. Nicholas Johnson had a 33-yard touchdown run. Jaqualyn Mayhall scored on a run from 8 yards out, and Morocco Wilkey added a 25-yard touchdown scamper. Thomas Knight added a pair of conversion runs as the Bucs shutout the Bears. Santino Holmes finished the night with 34 yards rushing and six tackles on defense to lead the Bears. Bobo Wynn also added five tackles for the Bears’ defense.
