Cartersville-Ridgeland region softball playoff series postponed until Saturday

The Region 7AAAA softball playoff series between Cartersville and Ridgeland has been postponed until Saturday at Ridgeland High School.

The best-of-three series was originally scheduled to begin Thursday evening with a doubleheader, but rain in the area caused officials to reschedule the series for Saturday.

Game 1 will begin Saturday at 11am and the two teams will play all three games if necessary. The winner advances as one of Region 7AAAA's top four teams to the Class AAAA state playoffs.
