Hamilton to bring golf instruction to Bartow Sports Zone

Bartow Sports Zone is excited to announce an agreement with Scott Hamilton of OnTour Golf and the Scott Hamilton Golf Academy to bring regular golf instruction features and news to bartowsportszone.com.

Hamilton has joined forces with Trackman specialist Errol Helling to provide video instruction features through their venture, OnTourGolf.com. He will also provide bartowsportszone.com with instructional content through regular feature articles. OnTourGolf has also connected itself with the promotional and distribution work of Golfworx.

OnTourGolf.com currently features Hamilton’s instruction along with instruction from golf fitness and power expert, Tyler Parsons. The site has other prominent tour level instructors joining them in the near future.

“We have some other tour instructors joining us soon,” said Hamilton. “We will be announcing those additions in the coming weeks, but they are instructors and coaches working with other tour players.”

Hamilton’s coaching and communication skills, along with his use of Trackman technology have reached worldwide notice.

“Trackman technology has revolutionized golf instruction because it is three- dimensional as opposed to only two-dimensional video,” noted Hamilton.
“The new technology gives us information about the horizontal movement of the sweet spot. It gives us all the ball flight information which is important, but the sweet spot information was pretty much an unknown factor prior to this new technology,” Hamilton added.

The online golf instructional site will remain separate from Hamilton’s well established Scott Hamilton Golf Academy.
“OnTour Golf and the Scott Hamilton Golf Academy will always be linked because of my involvement with both, but they will remain separate entities,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton spent time last week working with two of his players who will be featured on a world-wide stage this week.

Chris Kirk (USA) and Steven Bowditch (AUS) are both coached by Hamilton and will compete against one another at this week’s Presidents Cup at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea • Songdo IBD, Incheon City, Korea.

“It’s exciting,” said Hamilton. “I won’t be traveling to Korea, but I will definitely be in touch with those guys all week and rooting for their success.”

After joining the PGA and serving as an assistant pro at Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina, Hamilton arrived in Cartersville in 1993 to serve as the Head Golf Professional at Cartersville Country Club. Today he is the Director of Golf for Cartersville Country Club and spends much of his year on the PGA Tour with his collection of prominent tour players.

Over the years, Hamilton has blended his growing understanding of the golf swing with new technology to establish himself as a premier instructor to golf professionals on multiple tours.
