Cartersville boys, Red Bud girls begin BGMSAA hoops tourney as top seeds
The basketball regular season ended Thursday night for schools in the Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association, but there is still some undecided business before the four championship tournaments begin Saturday in Calhoun.
Despite a fourteen game schedule for the varsity teams and a twelve game schedule for the junior varsity teams, there are a few ties for seeding to be settled with coin tosses Friday morning.
In fact, one-half of the girls tournament bracket will be settled by a coin toss. Calhoun and Ashworth will toss a coin to decide the number two seed, while Adairsville and Woodland tied for the number six spot. In the boys' tournament, all the seeds are set except for the sixth and seventh spots. Woodland and South Central will toss a coin to settle that tie Friday morning. Final scores from the full slate of regular season games Thursday night are listed below along with the tournament schedules, seeding, and season records.
