Cass tennis teams edged by River Ridge

The Cass tennis teams were both edged 3-2 by visiting 7-AAAAA-A sub-region opponent, River Ridge, Tuesday at Hamilton Crossing Park.

In the girls’ match, Cass took both the No. 1 singles and doubles lines.

Ryleigh Lanham won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1 and the Lady Colonels’ duo of Emma Wickenheiser/Kaira Bowen won at the No. 1 doubles line, 6-0, 6-2.

In the boys’ match, Dalton Jackson and Eric Dunlap won singles matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 lines. Jackson won in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Dunlap won 7-5, 6-0.

Cass travels to Rome Thursday (March 10) and will play in the Woodland Invitational Friday and Saturday (March 11-12).
