Colonels capture Woodland Tennis Invitational, Lady Cats runner-up

The Cass boys’ tennis team won the Woodland Invitational Saturday and the Lady Cats finished runner up to the Kell Lady Longhorns.

The Cass boys defeated Rockmart, Kell, and Cedartown twice to win the tournament title.

The Woodland girls team (photo below) defeated Cedartown twice with a loss to Kell sandwiched between to reach the championship match -- again against Kell -- and finished 2-2 as the tournament runner-up.
