Tigers' bats support Seaman's complete game effort

The Adairsville Tigers' offense supported a complete game pitching effort by Sam Seaman Friday night by pounding out 11 hits and scoring 16 runs in a 16-5 Region 6-AAA win at Sonoraville.

Adairsville scored three runs in the top of the second to take an early lead, but the Phoenix responded with two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the fourth to take a temporary 4-3 lead.

The Tigers answered with four runs in the top half of the fifth to regain their lead for good, 7-4.

After Sonoraville narrowed the margin to 7-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Adairsville scored three times in the sixth and six runs in the seventh inning to seal the victory.

Starting pitcher, Easton Gallman (5 IP, 7R, 5ER, 9H, 2BB, 1K) was tagged with the pitching loss for the Phoenix. Ryan Goss (1.1 IP, 9R, 8ER, 1H, 7BB) and Grant Hegwood (0.2 IP, 0R, 1H, 1BB) combined to close out the game on the mound for Sonoraville.
