O'Kelley tosses two-hit shutout as Adairsville wins at North Murray


Noah O’Kelley tossed a complete game, two-hit, shutout Thursday night to lead Adairsville to a 5-0 Region 6-AAA victory at North Murray.


O’Kelley walked two and struck out eight.


Lane Griffith had two hits, including a homerun and three RBI to lead the Tigers’ offense. Taylor Whitley (RBI) and Garrett Mishoe had two hits apiece. Justin Green, Hunter Hice, and Sam Seaman had the other Adairsville hits.


Adairsville scored the game’s first run in the top of the third and carried a 1-0 lead into the fifth when they added four runs over the next two frames.


The Tigers’ also drew seven walks to go with their nine-hit attack, but left 11 men on base.


Brody Frazier was the losing pitcher for the Mountaineers. He allowed three earned runs on five walks and six hits in the first 4 and 2/3 innings.


North Murray slipped to 9-8 overall and 3-7 in region games.


Adairsville (11-7 overall, 7-3 in 6-AAA) travels to Coahulla Creek Friday for a 5:55pm start.
