Eagles fall at North Cobb Christian
North Cobb Christian defeated Excel Christian Saturday in five innings, 10-0.
North Cobb Christian took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. They added three runs in the third, two in the fourth, and closed out the game with four runs in the fifth.
Freshman pitcher, Ryan Suppa, tossed a complete game, two hitter for North Cobb Christian as they improved to 6-16 on the year and 6-9 in Region 6-A.
Zach Cornell, James Bitner, and Carter Guarino had two hits each for North Cobb Christian.
Joseph Cuomo and Blane Belisario had the only Excel Christian hits.
Jordan Wilkie (3.1 IP, 6R, 4ER, 7H, 1BB) took the pitching loss for ECA. Cuomo (1.1 IP, 4R, 1ER, 2H, 2BB) also pitched.
Excel Christian (1-16, 0-15) hosts Mount Pisgah Christian Tuesday at 5:30pm at LakePoint in Emerson. The Eagles then travel to Trion Wednesday for a 5:30pm start and host St. Anne-Pacelli on Thursday at 5:55pm back at LakePoint.
