Bartow County Senior Little League Softball eliminated at Southeast Regional

The Bartow County Senior Little League Softball team was eliminated Sunday at the Southeast Regional with a 7-3 loss to the North Carolina state champions. Washington (NC) Little League lost in the first round to Cape Coral/Ft. Myers (FL) Little League 2-0, but will advance to the championship game with the win over Bartow County.

Bartow, the Georgia state champions, also lost in the modified double-elimination event to the Florida state champs earlier in the tournament.

Washington and Cape Coral/Ft. Myers were to play for the Southeast Regional title and a berth in the Senior Little League World Series Sunday night.

Bartow County went 3-0 to win the Georgia state championship tournament and finished 2-2 at the Southeast Regional.

The Bartow County Senior League roster includes: Sarah Fox, Taylor Queen, Hope Elrod, Sierrah Gani, Loren Harris, Madison Harrison, Alexia Najarro, Makenzi McIntyre, Morgan Deboard, Maggie Collum, Sarah Moore, Emily Collum, and Havyn Isaac. Coaches: Greg Hight, Hannah Hight, and Haley Hood.
