Cartersville LL 12U falls to Martinez-Evans

The 2016 season came to a close for Cartersville Little League's 11-12 year old team Monday night following an 8-1 loss to Martinez-Evans Little League at the Georgia Little League state tournament in Peachtree City.

Cartersville, the District 1 champions, finished 1-2 in the state tournament. They lost their opening round game Saturday to Warner Robins American Little League and advanced in the loser's bracket Sunday with a dramatic victory over Smyrna Little League.

The 2016 Cartersville Little League 11-12 year old all star team included:

Jacob Evans, Philip Schiltz, Blake Sutton, Jimbo Gaines, Elliott Eastin, Colin Eaton, Banks Wilson, Drew Rothschild, Ernesto Cortes, Jake Lawson, and Tanner Wall. Manager: Freddy Eaton. Coaches: Austin Phillips and Darren Wilson.
