WBHF and Bartow Sports Zone release 2016 high school football broadcast schedule
WBHF AM1450 and 100.3FM along with Bartow Sports Zone will be broadcasting 23 local high school football games this season plus all state playoff games involving local teams. The 2016 broadcast schedule is listed below.
The WBHF games will be live 'on air' with pre-game coverage starting each Friday at 6pm. The Bartow Sports Zone games will be live online at both bartowsportszone.com and wbhfradio.org with pre-game coverage starting each Friday at 7pm. In the second half of the season, Bartow Sports Zone will have three flex dates -- October 7, October 14, and November 4. This will allow the selection of the most interesting game of the week among the remaining local games not on WBHF.
Game day Fridays will begin on WBHF from 7-9am with the Bartow Sports Zone radio show. This weekly show will feature interviews with the local head football coaches and include discussions of other sports activities in the community. Charles Wilson will host along with Brad Stephens, Jason Greenberg, and Kevin Pate.
Countdown to Kickoff with Josh Brock and Don Startup begins on WBHF at 6pm each Friday, followed by This Week's Top Games with Kevin Pate and Alan Sanders. At 7pm, the Bartow Sports Zone online broadcast will begin with kickoff for both games at 7:30pm.
The GABBY Award winning broadcast team of Matt Santini, Don Startup, Josh Brock, and Jack Howell will broadcast the WBHF games. Charles Wilson and Brad Stephens will broadcast the Johnny's NY Style Pizza 'County Game of the Week' on Bartow Sports Zone, and Mike Garcia and Connor Gambrell will have live reports from other local game sites.
Once the live games are complete, WBHF will carry the Pigskin Postgame Party until midnight with interviews, callers, wrap ups, and discussions of all the action.
