Local volleyball teams fall Thursday

Cass volleyball lost a non-region match Thursday evening at Fannin County, 25-19, 25-10.

Cass (4-5) plays in the Coosa Tournament Saturday beginning at 10am.

Woodland lost a pair of matches at Sonoraville Thursday, falling to Allatoona 25-9 and 25-9. The Lady Cats also lost to the host Phoenix, 25-12 and 25-19.

Woodland (9-9) has a home match Tuesday with Marietta and East Paulding. First serve is set for 5pm.

Adairsville volleyball lost a three-set match with Pickens County Thursday. The Lady Tigers won the middle set, 25-15. Pickens won the opening set 26-24 and the third set, 25-21. (AHS 7-5)

Adairsville (7-5) is slated to play in the Rally at the Ridge Tournament hosted by Fannin County Saturday beginning at 10am.
