Adairsville swim team wins tri-meet


The Adairsville High School swim team defeated visiting Coahulla Creek and Pickens Wednesday in a tri-meet held at the Adairsville High School Swim Center.


The Adairsville teams combined for a 218 point total, followed by Coahulla Creek with 183 points and Pickens with 71.


The Lady Tigers finished with 134 points and finished ahead of Coahulla Creek (90) and Pickens (45). The Tigers (84 points) were second on the boys' side of the ledger, nine points behind Coahulla Creek (93) but well ahead of Pickens (26).

The Lady Tigers and Tigers will return to action January 5 when they host Etowah High School and will compete in the Bartow County Championships Saturday, January 7, also at the Adairsville Swim Center.
