Salute to 2016 Elite Athletes; Lawrence tabbed Elite Athlete of the Year

Bartow Sports Zone, WBHF Radio -- 100.3FM / AM1450 Cartersville, and Elite Stone Supply of Cartersville salutes all of the 2016 Elite Athletes of the Week and Elite Athletes of the Month.

These athletes were identified by their respective athletic departments for outstanding performances and contributions in 2016.

All five local high schools -- Adairsville, Cartersville, Cass, Excel Christian, and Woodland -- are represented.

Cartersville junior quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, was also named the 2016 Elite Athlete of the Year in a presentation last week.

The new tradition continues in 2017 as each school will identify an Elite Athlete each month.

Danny Snow, owner of Elite Stone Supply, sponsors the recognition. Each Elite Athlete receives a plaque and recognition with a radio feature on WBHF and on Bartow Sports Zone.
