Late PK edges Colonels

The Cass boys soccer team lost a closely contested, non-region game with visiting Sprayberry Friday night, 2-1.
The lone Cass goal was scored by Carlos Perez off an assist from Slomi Orozco.
Brandon Romero had 15 saves in goal for the Colonels.
Trailing 1-0 at the intermission, Cass scored to tie the game with 33 minutes remaining, but gave up a late penalty kick goal with approximately 15 minutes remaining.
The win was the Yellow Jackets' first of the year. Sprayberry is now 1-3.
Cass (0-5) plays at Carrollton Tuesday at 8pm and at Rome Friday at 7:45pm.
