Cass tennis teams top Raiders

The Cass girls and boys tennis teams took a pair of 3-2 wins over East Paulding Tuesday. The girls team winning at home and the boys on the road.

“The guys picked up a really big win that gives us a good chance of securing a top three seed in the Region 7AAAAA tournament,” said Cass coach Kevin Cunningham. “East Paulding has a really deep team with some strong kids playing doubles. We’re just lucky to have our leaders — four-year lettermen, Avery (Cornett) and Seth (Colton) playing singles. Now we just need to close the rest of the region schedule strong and get to the tournament peaking at the right time,” the coach concluded.
