Calhoun Middle wins BGMSAA baseball title with unbeaten season

The Calhoun Middle School baseball team completed a 14-0 perfect season Thursday afternoon by winning the championship game of the Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association playoffs 6-4 over runner-up Cass Middle School.

The Yellow Jackets finished the regular season 12-0 and had a semifinal playoff tournament win over Adairsville 10-5 to reach the finals.

The Colonels won twice in the tournament to reach the championship game. Cass Middle defeated Ashworth 15-11 in the first round and Red Bud 6-1 in the playoff semifinals. Cass finished the regular and post season with a 10-5 mark.
