Canes' QB Lawrence continues work at The Opening Finals at Nike headquarters in Oregon (video an


Cartersville High School rising senior quarterback and Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence is one of 166 high school players from across the country at The Opening Finals at Nike Headquarters this week making Beaverton, Oregon the center of the recruiting world these days.


The Opening Finals is widely considered the premier high school football showcase. The event began Wednesday and will continue through Monday, July 3. Most of the players are Class of 2018 with a few Class of 2019 participants.

The players participate in drills, training sessions, and competition. They will also compete in a 7-on-7 tournament, a quarterback competition, and a lineman challenge.

Friday, Lawrence worked out with his 7-on-7 teammates -- Team Savage Pro. There are a total of five teams for the 7-on-7 tournament, including Team Vapor Speed, Team Untouchable, Team Mach Speed, Team Hyper Strong, Team Alpha Menace, and Team Savage Pro.

July 2, Sunday

  • LINEMAN CHALLENGE WORKOUT: 1 p.m. ET

  • NIKE 7ON7 POOL PLAY: 2 p.m. ET

  • LINEMAN INTERVIEW SESSION: 4 p.m. ET

  • 1ST ROUND OF NIKE 7ON7 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: 10 p.m. ET

July 3, Monday

  • LINEMAN DRILLS: 12:30 p.m. ET

  • NIKE 7ON7 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: 12:30 p.m. ET

  • LINEMAN 1ON1 FINALS: 3:35 p.m. ET

  • LINEMAN INTERVIEW SESSION: 4 p.m. ET

  • NIKE 7ON7 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: 7 p.m. ET on the NFL Network

  • INTERVIEW SESSION: 8 p.m. ET

  • THE OPENING AWARDS CEREMONY: 8:30 p.m. ET
