SHGA / AMG Update: Swafford earns top ten at WGC-Bridgestone, Crane and Durant collect top fifteen f
Hudson Swafford shot a 5-under-par total at the World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational last weekend in Akron, Ohio to earn top performance honors for players affiliated with Cartersville Country Club's Scott Hamilton Golf Academy and/or Athletic Motion Golf.
Swafford was eleven shots behind eventual winner Hideki Matsuyama, but finished with rounds of 70-69-70-66 to finish in a tie for tenth in a world-class field.
SHGA/AMG players, Ben Crane and Chris Kirk wrapped up top twenty finishes at the PGA Tour Barracuda Championship in Reno, Nevada. The modified Stableford scoring system event included nine SHGA/AMG players. Matt Every and Aaron Baddeley made the 36-hole cut.
Meanwhile, Joe Durant continued his consistent play on the PGA Champions Tour. He finished tied for 13th in his title defense at the 3M Championship in Minnesota. The defending champion fired three rounds in the 60s -- 67-66-69.
