Cartersville, Adairsville cross country teams compete at Berry Invite
The cross country teams from Cartersville High School and Adairsville High School participated Saturday in the Clara Bowl 5K Invitational at Berry College.
The Cartersville girls team placed 24th in the 33-team race that included 310 runners. Adairsville did not field a complete team for scoring.
Harrison won the girls championship with 96 points. Creekview (111) finished second, Ravenwood (141) third, with White County (150) and Marietta (150) finishing tied for fourth place.
The Cartersville boys placed 29th and Adairsville was 32nd in the 40-team boys race that included 351 runners.
St. Pius X won the boys race with 149 points. Mill Creek (160) was second. Blessed Trinity (170) finished third.
Next for Cartersville is the Woodland High School Run-at-the-Rock Invitational on Saturday, September 16.
Adairsville will host the Tiger Invitational Tuesday, September 12 at Manning Mill Park and will also participate in the Woodland High School Run-at-the-Rock Invitational on Saturday, September 16.
