Cass volleyball wins on Senior Night

Cass volleyball defeated visiting Model Thursday night in straight sets, 25-15 and 25-19.

"It was the first time we've won on Senior Night in at least five years," said Cass coach Chelsea Morris. "We are proud of our seniors. It was a nice tribute."

The Lady Colonels honored seniors Keila Sanchez, Kyler Trouten, Lana White, Macy Wright, Delwyn Jones, Emily Tracy, and Brianna Bullock.

Cass (13-9) travels to Cartersville Saturday morning for the Bartow County Championship Tournament.

WOODLAND DROPS TWO MATCHES

Woodland volleyball lost a pair of matches Thursday at Armuchee High School, falling to the host Indians and Cherokee County (AL).

The match with Cherokee County went three sets, but the Lady Cats fell in straight sets to Armuchee.

Woodland opens play in the Bartow County Championship Tournament Saturday morning at 9 a.m. against Cass.
