Woodland softball opens state playoffs at home Wednesday

Woodland softball finished second in the Region 7-AAAAA playoff tournament last week and will host Loganville in a best-of-three GHSA Class 5A state playoff series that begins Wednesday. The Lady Cats will host a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.

If a third game is needed in the series, it will also be played at Woodland on Thursday evening.

Woodland enters the state playoffs with a 14-15 record and is the No. 2 seed from Region 7-AAAAA. Loganville is the No. 3 seed from Region 8-AAAAA with a 21-8 mark.
