Cass wrestling wins second tourney of young season

The Cass wrestling team won a highly-regarded tournament for the second weekend in a row by capturing the Blackbeard Duals title at Allatoona High School Saturday evening.

The Allatoona tournament regularly includes some of the top competition in North Georgia and this year’s event was no different.

Cass had wins over Union Grove and Sprayberry to finish first in their pool. The Colonels then defeated Etowah and North Paulding to reach the finals where they edged Gilmer for the tournament championship.
