Lady Cats, Calhoun play to 1-1 draw

The Woodland girls soccer team tied Calhoun at home Tuesday night 1-1 behind a 20-save performance by keeper Esmeralda Hernandez.

Calhoun (2-2-2) got on the board first in the second half, but Woodland’s Anna McCrary tied the game with approximately 15 minutes remaining for a 1-1 final score. The goal came after a corner kick that McCrary gathered near the penalty spot.

The Lady Cats (1-2-1) host Cedartown Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
