Canes first, Lady Canes fourth at 2018 Purple Hurricane Track & Field Invitational
The Cartersville boys finished first and the Lady Canes fourth at the 2018 Purple Hurricane Track and Field Invitational Saturday.
Eight girls teams and eight boys teams competed in the event.
The Hurricanes finished with 134 team points. North Springs (107) was second followed by Gordon Central (80.5), Villa Rica (79), and Providence Christian Academy (65.5).
Carrollton won the girls title with 197 points followed by Providence Christian Academy (101), Villa Rica (69), Cartersville (66), and Cedartown (54).
