Ammons, Wildcats shutout Rockmart

Ben Ammons tossed a four-hit, complete-game shutout and Woodland scored all six runs in the third inning as the Wildcats blanked visiting Rockmart Monday night, 6-0.
Ammons struck out nine and did not issue a walk in his stellar performance.
Bailey Ward had three hits including a double and one RBI to lead the Woodland offense. Toby Queen had two hits including a double and one RBI. Koby Stansel contributed a pair of RBI with one hit. Garrett Cornett, Tyler Dilcher, Chris Mills, and Dylan Webb added one hit apiece.
The loss dropped Rockmart to a 3-5 record for the year.
Woodland (6-4) plays at Sonoraville Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The Wildcats then travel to Adairsville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
