Adairsville shutout at Haralson
Haralson County pitcher Landon Malone tossed a five-hit shutout at visiting Adairsville Wednesday evening to lead the Rebels past the Tigers 6-0 in a Region 6-AAA game.
Malone struck out seven and walked only two in seven innings.
The host Rebels scored single runs in the second, fourth, and fifth innings for a 3-0 lead. Haralson then doubled their advantage with a three-run sixth.
Haralson managed only three hits in the game, but also took advantage of nine walks and four Adairsville errors.
The Tigers had five hits including two by Caden Gibbs. Garrett Mishoe, Halen Huskins, and Noah Dutton had the other Adairsville base hits.
Mishoe (5 IP, 3R, 1ER, 1H, 6BB, 8K) went five innings and received the pitching loss. Levi Blackwell (0.1 IP, 3ER, 1H, 2BB, 1K and Landon Ayers (0.2 IP, 0R, 1H, 1BB) pitched in the sixth.
Haralson County improved to 8-6 overall and 3-1 in region action.
Adairsville (9-5, 2-2) hosts Sonoraville Thursday.
