Lady Canes defeat Raiders, 3-1
The Cartersville girls soccer team earned its third straight win Monday night at the Cartersville Soccer Complex, defeating Southeast Whitfield in a non-region match 3-1.
Micah Vance scored twice for the Lady Canes and Kalyn Donegan added the other goal as Cartersville played without senior starters Marissa Mowry and Merritt Vance.
Claire Choate and Donegan had assists on Micah Vance’s two goals.
The visiting Raiders’ lone goal came after Cartersville had taken a 3-0 lead.
The Lady Canes (7-4, 3-1) play at Region 5-AAAA foe Cedartown Thursday night.
