Woodland tennis defeats Cass


The Woodland girls and boys tennis teams won Region 7-AAAAA matches over county rival Cass Tuesday evening with the Lady Cats winning 4-1 and the Wildcats winning all but one set in a 5-0 decision.


The Woodland girls improved to 8-7 overall and 6-2 in region action. The Woodland boys are 7-3 overall and 7-1 in region matches.

Woodland now sets its sights on the Region 7-AAAAA playoffs April 10 at the Rome Tennis Center. Cass has a non-region match Wednesday with Adairsville to wrap up the regular season.
