Little League update: Bartow County and Cartersville Little League game capsules, standings


With lots of rain and game cancelations in recent weeks, the Bartow County Little League and Cartersville Little League baseball (Major League) have returned to action and have been busy. We have the game capsules for Cartersville LL games played April 20-May 1 and for BCLL games played April 18-May 1.

 

CARTERSVILLE LITTLE LEAGUE (Major)

Friday, April 20

COLTS 9, BRAVES 2

Colts: Turner Abernathy three hits including one double, two RBI; Grant Knight two hits including one triple, one RBI; Davis Wilkey and James Manning two hits each; Trevor Harris and Tungsten Tibbetts one hit, one RBI each; Coller Jordan and Travers Groves one hit each. Knight (5 IP, 2R, 0ER, 3H, 4BB, 11K).

Braves: Braylon Hill one hit, one RBI; Kamdyn Woods and Caleb Daniel one hit each each.


PADRES 7, CRACKERS 4

Padres: Will Camp two hits, one RBI; Collin Genrich one double, three RBI; Geoffrey Gore one double, one RBI; Eli Jones and JP Gooch one hit, one RBI each; Gabe Cox and Lee Camp one hit each. Six pitchers, Logan Buchanan, Lee Camp, Genrich, Bryson Chatman, Gooch, and Eli Jones combined to allow two earned runs on three hits and struck out ten. Crackers: Boston Pittman one hit, one RBI; Easton Elrod and Jaiven Johnson one hit apiece; Ben Turcotte one RBI. Adam Cornwell (4 IP, 7ER, 8H, 5BB, 4K); Cohen Payne (1 IP, 0R, 0H, 1BB).
