Canes ranked 2nd in AAAA
The Georgia High School Football Writers have Cartersville ranked No. 2 in Class AAAA this week's edition of their top ten rankings for each classification.
Other teams in the rankings from the three GHSA regions including local schools are Rome (1st), Carrollton (5th), and Kell (10th) in Class AAAAA. All three are members of Region 7-AAAAA that includes Cass and Woodland.
Troup County and Cedartown -- members of Cartersville's Region 5-AAAA -- received votes but did not crack the top ten.
In Class AAA, Calhoun sits atop the poll. The Yellow Jackets are in Region 6-AAA with Adairsville.
