Local wrestlers have weekend success
Challenging some of the best talent in the Southeast at the highly competitive Danny Byron Invitational Tournament in Kissimmee, FL this weekend, the Woodland wrestling team had several individuals come away with weight class wins and the Wildcats finished second as a team behind Camden County, GA. Fleming Island (FL) and West Forsyth (GA) were third and fourth, respectively. Host Osceola (FL) placed fifth.

In other action on the mats Saturday, Adairsville placed third at the Dalton Carpet Classic and Cass had six varsity wrestlers to compete at a tournament in Cleveland, TN.
Angel Banda, Jody Sutton and Austin Jackson all placed third in their weight classes for Adairsville during the traditional tournament in Dalton. Doss Dudley, Brendan Luginbuhl and Cody Shook finished in fourth. Bryce Kresho and Kendall Arnold each went undefeated for Cass at their tournament in Tennessee. Isaac Linley, Noah Hoffmeier and Hunter Rees also were noted for strong tournament performances for the Colonels.
